The Audit Itself
What exactly is included in the Inventory Leak Audit?+
A full valuation of your inventory at current cost — from your existing sales and inventory data (remote) or an on-site count (Jacksonville). You get a written report showing your total inventory value, an ABC classification (which items drive most of your cost exposure), a breakdown of what's leaking (shrink, miscounts, over-ordering) and what's frozen (slow-moving stock tying up cash) by category, and a 90-day action plan with specific next steps. You also keep a simple tracking spreadsheet to continue on your own after the audit.
Do I get a tool to keep tracking inventory after the audit?+
Yes. Every audit includes a working spreadsheet you keep — real formulas included, no expiration date. It's intentionally simple: counts, costs, and variance. It won't do full ABC prioritization or ongoing trend tracking on its own — that deeper layer is what our monthly retainer adds — but it's yours to use for as long as you want, no strings attached.
How long does the audit take?+
The on-site count is usually completed in a single visit. You'll have the full written report within a few days afterward, followed by a 30–90 minute walkthrough call to go over the findings together.
Do you offer remote audits, or only in-person?+
Both. In-person physical counts are available in Jacksonville, FL. For businesses outside the area, we offer a remote audit — you send your existing inventory records and POS/sales data, and we handle the full ABC classification and variance analysis remotely. Same report, no on-site visit required.
What areas of my business do you count?+
For in-person audits: walk-in coolers, freezers, dry storage, bar and backbar, retail floor stock, and storage rooms — whatever applies to your business. For remote audits, this is based on the inventory categories in the data you send us. We confirm scope with you before starting either way.
Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?+
For in-person audits: not much — if you have POS sales data for the audit period, having it ready helps make the variance analysis more precise, but it's not required. For remote audits, you'll need to export your current inventory records and POS/sales data for the audit period — we'll tell you exactly what to pull before you start.
Snapshot, Audit & Commitment
What's the difference between the free snapshot and the full audit?+
The free snapshot answers one question — how much money is on the line? — from a few quick inputs or your connected store, in about 30 seconds. The full audit answers the next one — how do I get it back? — going deep on your real numbers, item by item, with a 90-day plan. Start with the snapshot; go deeper only if it's clearly worth it.
Is this a contract or ongoing subscription?+
No. The audit itself is a one-time engagement with no ongoing commitment. Afterward, we do offer an optional monthly retainer to help maintain the system and keep tracking waste and shrinkage going forward — but it's entirely your choice, no pressure either way.
Fit & Trust
What kinds of businesses is this for?+
Independent, single-location retail shops and product sellers — boutiques, gift and home-goods stores, and similar — especially owners who want to grow and free up cash that's stuck in stock. Restaurants and bars too, for in-person counts in Jacksonville. If you carry inventory and want it working harder, it fits.
I already use inventory software — is this still worth it?+
Often, yes. Most software tells you what's currently in stock, but not which specific items are quietly costing you the most or the pattern behind it. This audit adds that deeper analysis layer. Worst case, it confirms you're already running tight — best case, it finds money you didn't know you were losing.
Is my business information kept confidential?+
Yes. Everything from the count to the final report is treated as confidential and is prepared exclusively for your use.
Do I have to sign up for anything after the audit?+
No. You receive the report and the walkthrough call regardless. If you'd like help implementing the recommendations ongoing, a retainer option is available — but there's no obligation to continue.
